What is scaffolding in construction?
The scaffold in building construction is a temporary platform that elevates and supports both materials and workers during a repair, cleaning and construction of a machine or structure. It includes several plants of a convenient length and size with different types of support depending on the use of the scaffold.
It is an integral part of any large construction project and has been in use since the first buildings were constructed. Scaffolding serves multiple purposes including the support of heavy loads of building materials such as blocks, cast-in-place concrete and bricks.
