What are the different types of suspended scaffolding?
There are eight well-known types of suspended scaffolds. The catenary scaffold is a platform supported by two horizontal and vertical ropes. The ship/float scaffold is a braced platform hung from overhead supports and resting on two parallel bearers.
The interior hung scaffold is a platform is suspended from a roof structure or ceiling by fixed-length supports. The multi-level scaffold works with a sequence of platforms at multiple levels and relying on similar stirrups. The multi-point adjustable scaffold is held up by several ropes from overhead supports.
The needle beam scaffold is held up by needle beams. The swing stage or two-point scaffold is a platform suspended by two ropes from overhead supports and the single-point adjustable scaffold is a platform suspended by one from an overhead support.
