Can’t I just use ladders instead of scaffolding?
You can use ladders but the fact is that they don’t offer as much stability and safety as scaffolding. Compared to ladders, scaffolding has a more stable base which makes its far safer and less likely to slip or topple over.
With scaffolding, you can also get more work done faster. This is because scaffolding offers a larger area to work. Whereas with a ladder, you would have to keep moving the ladder to cover only a small area. Also, unlike ladders that require another party to hold them in place, scaffolds can firmly stand on their own.
